The Elk River Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at Elk River City Hall, 13065 Orono Parkway, to consider a request by Plaisted Companies for a Conditional Use Permit for mineral excavation to mine approximately 120 acres, Case No. CU 13-12.
The Elk River City Council will also conduct a public hearing concerning this matter Monday, December 16, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at Elk River City Hall, 13065 Orono Parkway.
General description of the subject property is east of Highway 169, north of 219th Avenue. Legal description of the subject property is: S 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 Section 10; NW 1/4 of NE 1/4 and the N 1/2 of NE 1/4 of NE 1/4 Section 10; and NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 Section 11, Township 33, Range 26, Sherburne County.
Hearing impaired persons planning to attend who need an interpreter or other persons with disabilities who require auxiliary aids should contact Tina Allard, City Clerk, at 635-1000 by December 6, 2013.
