Elk River High School Wind Symphony and North Suburban Concert Band presented the Halloween Concert on Monday at Zabee Theatre ,with music about Harry Potter, the Hobbit, trolls, Superman and other exciting themes. Both groups are directed by John Rosner, wearing his pirates’ outfit. About 30 kids from tots to teens showed off costumes ranging from little princesses to big villains and prizes were awarded.
North Suburban Concert Band plays March of the Trolls.
Katherine Piesek as Mary Poppins and Bridger Smith as Burt won the costume concert for high school kids.
Taylor Boone, 9, of Otsego, as Florence Nightingale, won the contest for kids 7-12.
Caroline Leither, 5, of Ramsey, as Unicorn, won the costume contest for kids 6 and under.
Carter Schunk solos on trumpet for “Superman.”
