Logan Daulton, scoring leader of Elk River’s state-tournament-bound girls soccer team, was named to the coaches association all-state team.

Daulton, a senior forward with 13 goals and two assists this year, and 35 goals in her four-year career, was one of 22 players named to the Class AA first team.

“Logan has been a f0ur-year starter. She led the Elks in scoring the last three years, and was third on the team as a freshman,” said coach Brian Steuter, who describes Daulton as “one of the best athletes I have coached,” with the speed and strength to power her way past most defenders.

The Elks will meet Minnetonka in the first round of the state tournament on Wednesday, 5:30 p.m., at St. Cloud State.
