Hillside Hope Through Hooves to host hoedown to raise awareness of mental health

Hillside Hope Through Hooves is hosting a country hoedown fund-raiser to raise awareness for mental health.

It will be from 5:30 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 in the Rogers Community Room, 21201 Memorial Dr.

There will be a dinner and presentation at 6 p.m. followed by a DJ and Rowdy Cowboy Show from 7:30 to 10 p.m.

Tickets $30 by calling 612-840-5366 and $35 at the door. Tickets are also available on line at www.hillsidehopethruhooves.com.

Guests are urged to come dressed as their favorite country western entertainer with full cowboy/cowgirl attire. Best costume prizes will be awarded.

There will also be a silent auction and raffle.

The Black Labels Dance Team will provide  specialty line dancing.

Hillside HOPE Thru Hooves is a non-profit Equine Assisted Psychotherapy & Alternative Learning program that provides services for those struggling with life situations such as: abuse, trauma, grief & loss, depression/anxiety, suicide & more.

“This is an  event for people 18 years of age and older, so grab your partner, friends, neighbors and come on out for a great cause,” said Terry Bateman, the director Hillside HOPE Through Hooves.
