Riebel/Schmiesing unanimous to approve the Workshop Agenda for October 1, 2013 as presented.
Diane Arnold, Auditor/Treasurer, was present to discuss the process for pay-off of the Heritage Center Lease Revenue 2005 Bond. Ms. Arnold informed the Board that the actual call date for this bond is February of 2015. The process will be delayed and more information about economic forecasts, interest rates, etc. will be provided to the Board in September/October of 2014. Ms. Arnold informed the Board that this will not impact the 2014 budget as there is a fund balance to cover the 2014 amount.
Dan Weber, Interim Administrator, provided an update on the commercial lot in Becker to be sold by the Sherburne County HRA (approved by the Board on 9/17/2013). Mr. Weber stated the County owns an adjacent lot that is unbuildable and plans to combine the two (2) parcels. The Board directed Mr. Weber to look at the possibility of re-platting to create two buildable lots. Mr. Weber informed the Board that the for sale signs will be installed on the Zimmerman property next week.
