Cross country: Rogers boys, girls both 4th in Miss. 8 meet; Parent finishes 3rd

The Rogers boys and girls both finished fourth among 10 teams in the Mississippi 8 Conference meet on Wednesday in St. Francis, and had five all-conference runners.

Reed Parent placed third, Caleb Burke 10th and Tyler Bethke 16th to lead the Rogers boys.

Jackie Lindfors in seventh place and Dacoda Speidel in 17th made the top 20 among the girls.

The top 20 finishers make all-conference.

“Great job everyone! We had a ton of PR’s tonight,” coach Chad Kreuser told his runners. “Very proud of this team!”

This was the largest Mississippi 8 meet ever with the addition of four schools since last year.

The St. Michael-Albertville boys and Monticello girls were team champions.

STMA had both individual champions in Chase Cayo and Rachel King.

Next for the Royals is Section 5AA on Thursday, Oct. 24, at Anoka High School.
