Chamber recognizes three volunteers

The Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce has recognized three people as part of its new Volunteer Recognition Awards program.

•Marcia Juenemann from Central Bank was named the Ambassador of the Year. She was recognized for her “generous commitment of time, support and inspiration.” Juenemann has served as an Ambassador for 2.5 years.  The committee visits new members, helps with ribbon cuttings and attends other business events on behalf of the chamber membership.

•Kyle Sabot of Rogers Printing was recognized with the PACE-setter award for “setting the standard of teamwork, energy and dedication to the mission of the chamber.” Sabot has served the chamber by serving on both the Golf and Fall Fundraising event committees.

•Don Horvath, owner of Andy’s Electric, received the Keystone Award for his “enduring commitment” to the organization. Andy’s Electric has been a chamber member for 45 years and has supported the chamber, its mission and its programs from the beginning. Horvath has served as a board member and still serves on the Shiver Elk River committee. He also helped to wire the building which now houses the chamber office when it was moved and remodeled 20 years ago.

The three were recognized at the chamber’s recent annual meeting.
