The Rogers Royals were unable to pull an upset of unbeaten Chisago Lakes on Tuesday evening in a duel for the Mississippi 8 lead.

The Wildcats prevailed 2-0 in Rogers, making the Royals their seventh shutout victim as they improved to 11-0 overall and 6-0 in conference.

The Wildcats and Royals were the only teams unbeaten in conference play, Rogers is now 4-1 in the conference and 5-7 overall.

“We outshot them by about two to one in the second half, but we couldn’t get any to go in,” lamented Royal coach Chris Miller. “We had lots of opportunities.”
