Motorists travelling both directions of Highway 10 between Elk River and Big Lake will encounter delays as segments of the roadway are intermittently reduced to a single lane beginning Monday, Sept. 16.
The closures are scheduled to occur during non-peak hours and will be completed by mid-October. Motorists should plan additional time for travel, slow down and prepare to stop as crews complete the work.
The closures are needed as crews prepare the roadway for near-term resurfacing. This initial work, a leveling course, is being applied to the pavement, and crews will return in Spring 2014 to complete the project.
