The Elk River girls scrapped to a 1-1 tie with the Blaine Bengals at home Thursday evening, each scoring in the first half.

Logan Daulton knocked in her eighth goal of the season for the Elks and Abby Wohlers got the Bengals on the board.

The Elks almost got the go-ahead goal three times in the last 10 minutes. Daulton had a header that was snagged by the outstretched goalie, and was high by inches on a boot from 10 yards. Erin Ness had a breakaway opportunity and hit the far post.

Elk goalie Megan Marsh came out to dive on the ball when Blaine had a good chance. The Bengals also had a shot late in the second half hit the bottom of the crossbar and glance off Marsh.

The Elks are 1-2-1 in the NWSC and 3-4-1 overall. Blaine is 1-1-1 and 3-3-2.

Elk River will host Park Center on Tuesday.
