“Paint the Farm,” a month-long event at the historic Oliver J. Kelley Farm, had a good opening over Labor Day weekend. Many visitors were on hand, enjoying the paintings on display by local artists, along with activities such as the 1860s horse-powered threshing demonstrations, in which several youngsters grabbed a fork to take part. Paint the Farm continues through September on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. Paintings are on sale as a fundraiser for Friends of the Kelley Farm.
