Volleyball: Columbia Heights squeezes past Sting 3-1

The Spectrum Sting dropped a close match to  Columbia Heights team 3-1 at home Thursday evening.

The Hylanders, described as “relentless” by Sting coach Tex Cuablo, prevailed 16-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-23.

The Sting kept it close with some hard serving including Ellie Rogers and Rachel Neiss with seven aces each and Jasmine Nelson with six. Molly Mitchell led at the net with six kills and two blocks.  Sting libero Sadie Ehr controlled the back row with 3 Aces and 6 digs.

Spectrum (1-2) will host Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted on Tuesday.
