Ground broke for UMA in Zimmerman to create jobs

Breaking ground in Zimmerman, Aug. 29, for UMA Precision Machining Inc. were (from left to right) Annie Deckert of the Decklan Group, Dusty Bredlow of The Bank of Elk River, Sherburne County Commissioner Rachel Leonard, Zimmerman City Council Member Ron Mathison, Jerry McChesney, UMA owner Tom McChesney, Lori McChesney, Zimmerman Mayor Dave Earenfight as well as Andrew Harvala and Andy Christensen, both of Heritage Construction.   More than 50 people attended the ceremony and UMA owner Tom McChesney said they were all part of the future of UMA. He added that he will launch a website soon to keep Zimmerman up to speed on the building progress and he looks forward to serving Zimmerman and creating jobs. The company will set up adjacent to the Sherburne County Public Safety Building at 26833 Fifth St. W. in Zimmerman.
