Coach says — “We expect to be very competitive in the Mississippi 8 Conference and Class 5A playoffs. We return 17 players who had significant playing time on offense and/or defense. We need to build depth around this core of returning players.”
Outlook — Royals have four conference titles and three section titles last four years, and went 9-2 last year with many first-year, underclassmen starters, so they should be a force again.

Coach says — ”The runners have been cranking out quality base miles and are very enthusiastic about their goals toward the season.”
Outlook — Coach says boys goals are top-3 in conference, win three meets, top-20 at Griak and state as a team. Girls goals are win one meet, have four girls place in conference, all run sub 24 at Griak.

Coach says — “We gave a lot of seniors but we are still a young team overall. Our sophomore class has a lot of potential. I don’t know yet where scoring will come from. Isaac had the most last year and he can pick up where he left off.”
Outlook — After winning conference in 2010, the Royals have been 6-25-2 the last two years. They’ve got a good shot at moving back above .500.

Coach says — “We are deep in every position, and we have some incredible speed up top from all attackers, Trochlil, Braseman, Anderson.”
Outlook — Royals hope their speed will help cure last year’s problems scoring goals. Need to find the right lineup to good talent.

Coach says — “For the first time ever, I think, we have a lot of height. We have two experienced outside hitters. Our seniors are doing  good job leading. … We need to get the quickness in both footwork and arm swing.”
Outlook — Should have good outside attack. Need to develop middle attack along with ball control after graduating standout libero (Abby Folk).
