Elk River’s Legion baseball season ended with losses to Rogers and St. Michael-Albertville in the sub-state tournament at Osseo.
The Elks, who opened playoffs with a 5-4 win over Maple Grove on Thursday, finished 12-13.

STMA thumped the Elks 12-6 on Friday with a 15-hit attack including a homer and five doubles.
Erik Nyquist, Elk starter, took the loss, giving up eight runs (two earned) in five innings, with Jordan Hollom, Joe Gonrowski and Alex Babcock finishing.
Terry Hadden was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI, and Porter Morrell 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI, for the Elks.
Rogers 2, Elk River 1
Luke Selkin of the Royals tossed a three-hitter with six strikeouts as No. 9 seeded Rogers ousted the No. 6 seeded Elks 2-1 on Saturday.
Alex Babcock hurled 7 1/3 innings for the Elks and took a hard-luck loss. Brady Givens got the last five outs.
Rogers took a 2-1 lead in the sixth off Babcock when Kyle Ellis tripled home a run and scored on a single by Bryanlee Santiago-Martinez.
An inning later, the Elks had runners at second and third with one out when right-fielder Mike Terres caught a fly ball and threw out the runner at the plate to foil the threat.
Mylo Hommes had two of the Elks hits and scored the run on a double by Babock.
