Highway 10 will see lane closures beginning July 8

Motorists on Highway 10 between 171st Avenue and Norfolk Avenue in Elk River — including through downtown —  will encounter lane closures as crews begin drainage and pedestrian improvements.

Starting at 9 a.m. Monday, July 8, both directions of Highway 10 will be reduced to a single lane. The work is expected to be complete by 5 a.m. July 15, weather permitting.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
