Twelve people have completed the Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce’s most recent class of Leadership Elk River.
They are: Jeremy Johnson and Christine Niskanen, The Bank of Elk River; Tom Sagstetter, Elk River Municipal Utilities; Jean Stang, First National Bank of Elk River; Carrie Ann Martin, YMCA Elk River; Kari McHenry, Guardian Angels; Mike Paulsrud, Coborn’s; David Long, The Chuba Company; Karen Barta, Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce; Greg Pike, Holiday Inn & Wild Woods Waterpark; Pamela Artmann, Coldwell Banker Vision; and Danyell Wendland, ABRA Auto Body and Glass.
The 10-month community-leadership program started training business people to become business and community leaders in 1996. Since then, more than 250 participants have completed the requirements of the course.
Applications for the next program year, which begins in September and runs through June, along with the 2014 course description, are available online at www.elkriverchamber.org. Participation is not limited to chamber members and is open to anyone with an interest in the future of the community. Deadline to apply is Aug. 15.
