Successful dig had support of sponsors and volunteers

The 2013 archaeological dig at Bailey Point in Elk River was a huge success, thanks to the many sponsors and volunteers. The city of Elk River was fortunate to have received a grant from the Minnesota Historical Society to conduct the dig and fortunate to have the following organizations support the 2013 archaeological dig. The event would not have been possible without their generous donations.

•Investor level: Bank of Elk River, Midwest Asphalt, Elk River Rotary, Fraternal Order of Eagles.

•Supporter level: Diamond City Bread.

•Donor level: Westbound Liquor store, Target stores, Cub Foods.

A thank you also goes out to the sponsors of the History Day event, which was held on Saturday, June 15, in conjunction with ArtSoup. Your contributions allowed the Living History Society to conduct a fashion show displaying 1860s attire.
