Holt named Elk River’s volunteer of the month for June

He has been involved in a wide range of volunteer activities including:

•Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Steering Committee and Faith-Based Committee

•board member of Great River Family Promise’s emergency homeless shelter program for children and their families

•Love Elk River board member

•Elk River community fireworks committee

•money life mentor for Crown Financial Ministries, helping people set up and maintain a budget

•Social Justice Committee at St. Andrew’s Church

•volunteer at Friday night dinners and Saturday morning coffees at Elk River American Legion

•set up and operation of an internet cafe every week for two years to help unemployed people go online to look for employment, as part of the Job Transition Program at Christ Church in Otsego

•various volunteer activities such as recording speakers for The Hope Connection, a Bible study program at Central Lutheran Church.

He was recognized by Mayor John Dietz at the June 17 Elk River City Council meeting.
