Do you like to photograph nature in your backyard or somewhere locally? Are you always looking for new and interesting ways to photograph people? Have you assembled a collection of photographs of local landmarks?
If you answered yes to any one or all of the these questions, then the Sandhill Photography Club is looking for you.
The club is sponsoring its second annual Powered by Nature Independence Day photography contest, and it has decided to extend the deadline to June 19 to capture the attention photographers who might be strolling through ArtSoup on Saturday, June 15.
Continuing to key off of Elk River’s branding initiatives, the club has expanded the contest to include multiple categories and a people’s choice award to be selected by the public at the ArtSoup Community Arts Festival.
The categories will be nature, people and Elk River landmarks. There will be cash prizes and one overall people’s choice award that the public will vote for at the ArtSoup community arts festival.
