Baseball: Pioneers clip Rogers 4-1

The Elk River Pioneers cruised past the Rogers Red Devils 7-1 in seven innings at home Wednesday evening, improving to 4-1 for the season.

Josh Juntunen got the win, striking out 10 in four innings, allowing one run on a RBI double by Tyler Berg. Tucker Morrell loses with three hitless innings.

Harley Thompson was 2-for-3 with a two-run single for the Pioneers. The other runs scored on errors, wild pitches or passed balls.

Bailey Solberg pitched the distance for Rogers. Berg was 2-for-3.

Elk River will host Champlin Park on Saturday, 5:30 p.m.
