Brenda Lee Pouliot, age 62, of Elk River, MN died Thursday, May 23, 2013, at J.A. Wedum Hospice Home in Brooklyn Park, MN.
Brenda was born December 16, 1950, in Mitchell, SD, the daughter of Elwin and Ielene (Degen) Thackeray. She worked for 17 years as a medical assembler for Boston Scientific. During her time there, Brenda enjoyed volunteering to set up the Heart Walks for Boston Scientific and its employees to raise funds for the American Heart Association. She was a great cook and loved photography and scrapbooking. Brenda enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially camping on Dixon Lake. She was a kindhearted friend, who was often volunteering for others in need.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Michael Pouliot; children, Anthony (Chrissie) Wellborn of San Antonio, TX, Angela (Chris) Dobel of Princeton, MN, Amy (Drew) Vederbraaten of Litchfield, MN, and Andrew (Lynn) Pouliot of West Fargo, ND; her grandchildren, Andres and Daniel Wellborn, Whitney Cloud and Hailey Dobel; her mother, Ielene Thackeray of AZ and her brother, Gary (Mary) Thackeray of FL and many loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elwin Thackeray.
A Celebration of Life for Brenda Pouliot will be held Saturday, June 8th, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Freshwaters United Methodist Church-River Campus in Princeton, MN. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
