Tennis: Elks top GRG 7-0, facing Chisago Lakes in section finals

Elk River tennis rolled past Grand Rapids-Greenway 7-0 in Section 7AA on Monday in Hibbing, and will face Chisago Lakes on Tuesday for the championship.

The Elks (22-1), ranked No. 2 in the state, will be seeking their eighth consecutive trip to the state tournament. The match is slated for 9 a.m. in Hibbing, unless it rains, in which case they’ll play at noon indoors in Virginia.

Section singles and doubles play will start in the afternoon and will be concluded Wednesday.
