Track: Rogers wins 4 events at Mississippi 8 meet

The Rogers girls earned three first-places and the boys had one Tuesday in the Mississippi 8 track-and-field meet at Buffalo. The boys placed fifth and the girls sixth among six schools.

Rogers won the girls 4×100 with Erika Folk, Heather Kilber, Jenna Braseman and Kirsten Heikkinen (52.23).

Rogers also took the 4×200 with Folk, Breanna Stang, Braseman and Heikkinen (1:50.58).

Kilber was also the 300 meter hurdles champion (51.36) and placed third in the 100 hurdles (16.9).

Trent Rgnonti won the boys discus for Rogers with 140-9 3/4.

Heikkinen placed second (13.19) and Folk third (13.33)  in the 100 dash. Hannah Sjerven was seventh in the 400 dash (1:06) and the discus (89-5).

Mitchelle Bracket tied for second in boys high jump with 6-0. Placing fifth were Reed Parent in the 3200 (10:07), Kent Hoover in the 400 (53.94), and Zach Dohmen in both hurdle races (16.12 and 42.79). Mike Biah was sixth in the 100 (11.78) and long jump (19- 3/4).
