The Sherburne County Board has approved a bid from Knife River Corporation for work scheduled this August and September on County Road 74 in Livonia Township. The work entails reconstruction of the segment that follows 237th Avenue from Highway 169 to 108th Street, and mill and overlay for 108th Street north to County State-Aid Highway 19 (or 245th Avenue).
Knife River has been awarded 2013 overlay work on other county roads, as well, to start in July. The company’s low bid for the County 74 project was $914, 338, about $60,000 below an engineering estimate. Two other firms’ bids, which were read May 14, each came in at more than $1 million.
