Elk River-Rogers-Zimmerman girls lacrosse fell to Centennial 16-15 there Wednesday night and finds itself in a two-game losing streak after starting 7-0.
“The girls are a little upset about it, but they know they’ve got another tough game Friday against Delano to get ready for,” said coach Stephanie Anderson.
ERZ lost to a strong Armstrong team 14-10 on Monday, then dropped the back-and-forth game against Centennial, a team they thought they’d beat, said Anderson.
Emily Antony had six goals and two assists in each of the games.
Against Armstrong, Kelsey Baker, Kaylee Forster, Mackenzie Perna and Michelle Klimstra had a goal apiece and Perna made five assists. In the nets, Klimstra stopped eight of 16 the first half and Kim Scott six of 12 in the second half.
Against Centennial, Scott faced 37 shots and stopped 21. Other goal were scored by Perna (four), Alleah Baltzer (two), Baker, Klimstra and Aliz Zierden. Perna made four assists.
ERZ will play at Delano on Friday.
