Lacrosse: Buffalo boys stymie Rogers 8-5

The Buffalo Bison beat the Rogers Royals 8-5 in a low-scoring lacrosse match on Thursday evening. John Woulette, Nick Fossum, Alex Pryzbilla and Tristen Whithuhn scored for Rogers. The defenders and backup goalie Nick Miller had good efforts, said coach Luke Bame, while the offense was “a bit cumbersome.” Rogers, a first-year team with a very young roster, is 1-6. The Royals host Delano on Friday at 6 p.m.
