Baseball: Thunder split with Princeton; win 3-2, lose 0-4

The Zimmerman Thunder split a pair of five-inning conference games with the Princeton Tigers on Monday at  home.

The Thunder won the opener 3-2 as Brandon Sevre pitched the distance, allowing three hits and one walk, striking out two. Riley Graham delivered the big hit, a two-run double in the fifth for a 3-2 lead.

Princeton rebounded 4-0 in the second game. Thunder ninth-grader Mitchell Mossman took the loss, giving up six hits and three walks, striking out four. Sam Archer hurled a three-hit shutout with six strikeouts for Princeton. The Thunder had four errors and two runs were unearned.

Zimmerman (5-7) will play two at Mora on Thursday.
