Lacrosse: ERZ girls thump Andover 22-9, have 5-0 mark

Elk River-Rogers-Zimmerman girls lacrosse stayed undefeated with a 22-9 conquest of Andover at home Monday.

Emily Antony led the attack with seven goals and two assists. Mackenzie Perna and Alleah Baltzer each scored three times.

Alix Zierden had two goals, and Kelsie Baker, Jaila Cappelli, Whitney Dunlevy, Kaylee Forser, Michelle Klimstra, Abbie Woullet, and Abby Johnson one each. Perna made three assists, and Baker and Holly Skalsky one each.

In the nets were Kim Scott in the first half (she stopped five of 10) and Cassie Conrad in the second half (she stopped four of eight). Defensive leaders were Baltzer, Skalsky, Scott and Marissa Soppeland.

ERZ (5-0) will play at Osseo-Park Center on Wednesday.


Beat Anoka 13-6 on Friday

ERZ also had a 13-5 win over Anoka on Friday  led by Antony with five goals. Perna added three goals, and Zierdan and Klimstra two each. Annie Dalton had the other goal. Perna and Courtney Reistad made two assists each.

Klimstra was goalie the first half, stopping three of six, and Scott in the second half, stopping eight of 11. Contributing a strong defensive effort were Baltzer, Skalsky, Scott, Soppeland, and Reistad.
