Morgan Rask shot two-under-par, leading the Rogers golfers to their 34th consecutive Mississippi 8 meet victory Tuesday at Monticello afternoon.
Rask, a senior ranked No. 6 in Class AA, notched a 69 at Monticello Country Club with one double bogey and four birdies on the front, and a birdie and bogey on the back.
The Royals, who’ve won the first three M-8 meets this year, totaled 295, followed by Cambridge-Isanti with 312, St. Michael-Albertville 318, Buffalo 325, Big Lake 343 and Monticello 347.
Luke Bunkers of Rogers was second with 74, a career best, followed by C-I’s Matt Swanson with 75, and Rogers’ Kyle Korva with 77 and Dylan Kline with 78. Rocky Nelson added a non-counting 79.
Royals also tie for first at Coon Rapids
The Royals also played in the Coon Rapids Invitational in the morning, shooting 301 to tie Maple Grove for first place among 31 teams. They edged Blaine and Grand Rapids, who each had 302. Dakota Krech of Blaine was medalist with 69.
The Royals were led by Korva with 74. Kline had 75, Rask 76, Nelson 76, Bunkers 84 and Cruz Martinez 89. Kline and Korva each shot career lows at Bunker Hills.
Rogers has another conference meet Wednesday at Purple Hawk in Cambridge.
