Jayme Langbehn knocked in three runs and Anna Pipenhagen threw a one-hitter as Elk River downed Park Center 5-1 on a chilly, breezy Thursday at home.
Langbehn, freshman outfielder, got her RBI’s on two singles in three trips. Marie Deaton was 2-for-4 and Kathi Opsahl 2-for-3 (two runs) as the Elks totaled nine hits.
Pipenhagen stuck out seven and walked three while giving up just a single to Morgan Sherva. The winning pitcher had a hit and two RBI’s herself in three trips.
For Park Center, Jillian Rosby pitched the distance.
The Elks are 3-1 in conference and 4-1 overall. They’ll play in the Richfield tournament on Saturday.
