Softball: Knights tip Rogers 5-4 in last of 7th

St. Micheal-Albertville scored twice in the last of the seventh and handed Rogers a 5-4 conference loss on Tuesday.

Rogers led 3-0 after three innings but couldn’t come up with key hits after that against Alex Berg.

Berg went the distance and picked up the win despite giving up 10 hits and four walks with no strikeouts. The Knights threw out two Rogers runners at the plate. Courtney Hanson had a double and two RBI.

Katelyn Kemmetmueller threw a five-hitter with 13 strikeouts and four walks for Rogers (1-1 conference, 2-1 overall).

Alex Cassidy was 2-for-3, Madi Anderson 2-for-4, Kemmetmueller 1-for-4 (triple, RBI), Emily Hanford 1-for-2 (two RBI), and Madie Mikolich 1-for-3 (RBI).

Rogers will host Monticello on Thursday.
