Tennis: Elks roll 7-0 at Osseo

The Elk River tennis team picked up its 63rd straight conference win, and third this year, 7-0 over the Osseo Orioles on Thursday in Osseo. One of Osseo’s players is Bridge Tussler, the Star News metro football player of the year last fall, and a leader of Osseo’s 2012 state basketball championship team. Tussler and his partner lost to Logann Burns and Nathan Chanthamontry at No. 1 doubles.  Meanwhile the weather was sunny, and high 40′s.  “It was nice to play tennis on a decent spring day, for a change,” noted coach Randy Ronning. The Elks (4-0 overall) will host a four-team round-robin on Saturday.
