ERHS to present “Seussical the Musical” starting Friday

Elk River High School Theatre will present “Seussical the Musical” over the next two weekends, with the opener Friday evening.

Director is Michelle Brooks. Adam Harbeneh has the lead role of Horton. Jordan Meyer, Elk football star, makes his stage debut as Cat in the Hat. The cast also has Cara Fromm, Ali Brady, Jake Berglove, Tabetha VanDeventer, Lucas Laniel, James Bound, Emma Crane, Grace Heyne, Kael Smith, Andrew Elmquist and Billy Gleason.

Show times are at 7 p.m. next Friday and at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, and at 7 p.m. the following Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 2-4. May 4 will be ASL interpreted (sign language).

Seussical is a musical by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty based on the books of Dr. Seuss. It debuted on Broadway in 2000. The play’s story is a rather complex amalgamation of many of Seuss’s most famous books.
