Sergeant, officer take the oath of office

A new police officer and a new patrol sergeant took the oath of office before the Elk River City Council and audience on Monday, April 15. Brian Boos was sworn in as sergeant and William Koch as police officer.

Boos  is a 15-year veteran of the Elk River Police Department and was promoted to sergeant after the recent retirement of Sgt. Jeff Mordal.

Koch is an 18-year veteran police officer, working for the Anoka Police Department for the past 14 years.

After they were sworn in by Mayor John Dietz, their wives pinned on their badges.
