The event runs 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 7 at Elk River High School, 900 School St. It is sponsored by the Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce and District 728 Community Education.

Admission is free. Donations will be accepted to fund a student scholarship, according to Debbi Rydberg, the chamber’s executive director.

Rydberg said the expo is a good opportunity to see what’s new.

“It’s a great way to connect with a local business or service, especially if you are new to the community,” she said. “It’s a great snapshot of what the community has to offer.”

New to the expo this year are eight mini seminars beginning at 11:10 a.m. Here is the schedule:

•11:10 a.m.: Bullying Prevention by Dojo Karate

•11:40 a.m.: Teens Texting and Driving by ABRA Auto

•12:10 p.m.: Harnessing Stress by Bodywise Chiropractic

•12:40 p.m.: ADHA or Vision Problems by Bright Eyes Vision

The seminars will take place in the community room near the high school commons.
