Two entrants by Zimmerman High School students were selected for the state History Day Contest, announced their teacher, Matt Kraus.
Working in tandems, Brigham Ploof and Nick Peoples advanced with their Warsaw Pact project, and Kali Walz and McKayla Luke advanced with their Reign of Terror project.
Those students placed in the top five at regionals at St. Cloud last Saturday, where there were a total of 150 projects entered, eight by Zimmerman students. The top five advance to state.
Getting honorable mention were Carly Swan and Stevie Lacher for their project on The Rape of Nanking.
The state competition will be held May 4 at Minneapolis Convention Center.
