Elk River artist Glenn Quist is one of nine recipients of CMAB/McKnight Individual Artist Award (IAA) recipients announced this week. Two of Quist’s acrylics are shown here.
A panel of six professional artists spent 29 volunteer hours viewing entrants and made recommendations to the CMAB Board of Directors.
Quist is also one of the artists in the North Artists Studio Crawl coming up April 6-7 (see separate article.)
The IAA recognizes and rewards artists in the region who have demonstrated prominent artistic achievement.
The $5,000 Established Artist Award is for artists with a history of exhibition, performances, publications, or other notable contributions to their local arts community.
The $3,000 Emerging Artist Awards recognize and encourage outstanding artists in various stages of their careers.
