Business and Community Expo kicks off April 7

The Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce and District 728 Community Education are bringing another Expo to Elk River.

The Business and Community Expo will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at Elk River High School, 900 School St. The hours have shifted slightly to accommodate the Sunday morning church schedule.

More than 100 different exhibitors will be set up in the commons and the gymnasium.

New this year are mini seminars offered by chamber member experts on children, safety or health. Twenty-minute seminars will take place throughout the day. Topics include: Bullying Prevention, Texting and Driving, Harnessing Stress, Is it ADHD or a Vision Problem, Child Development, Chronic Disease Management, Help for Sleep Disorders and Self Defense. Community Education and ECFE will host activities for children of all ages such as a “big kid” and a “little kid” bounce houses. There will also be carnival games, crafts and hands on activities and prizes.

Lunch and snack items will be available for purchase.
