Rogers 5th grade hoopsters win MYAS tourney

The Rogers  Royals 5A Boys Black Team won 1st Place at the recently played MYAS Grade State Championship Tournament hosted by Rogers High School on March 9th-10th!  Rogers won all 4 games on their way to taking home the 1st Place Trophy.  They won their first 2 games convincingly over Minnetonka (44 to 19) and Wayzata (42 to 26).  In the semi finals they won a nail biter over Edina (40 to 39).  In the championship game they played a strong Chanhassen team, but were able to pull away at the end by a score of 53 to 42.
