Lindskoog honored for volunteer work

Liz Lindskoog is the city of Elk River’s Volunteer of the Month for March.

She is a staff sergeant with the Minnesota National Guard stationed in Elk River.

Lindskoog has volunteered several hundred hours as a member of the Boys and Girls Club Board.

She has volunteered more than 100 hours at the Elk River American Legion, creating the world’s largest “Thank You” card for the Monticello-based 251st Military Police serving in Afghanistan. Several members of the unit are from Elk River. The card was featured on WCCO-TV and KARE 11.

Lindskoog was honored at the Monday, March 18, Elk River City Council meeting.
