Barnhart promoted to deputy director in Elk River

Jeremy Barnhart has been promoted to Elk River community operations and development deputy director.

He has worked as Elk River’s planning manager since May 2006.

Barnhart, of Watertown, has a bachelor’s degree in community and regional planning from Iowa State University in Ames and a master of business administration degree from Hamline University in St. Paul.

Prior to working in Elk River, he was the community development director in Watertown.

The new deputy director position in Elk River was created during a staff reorganization last year.
