Gymnastics: DeZiel is WIAC gymnast of the week

Brittany DeZiel, Wisconsin-Stout junior gymnast from Rogers and Spectrum High School, was named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference gymnast of the week on Monday.

In a dual meet win over UW-Oshkosh on Friday, she won all-around (37.925), floor (9.500) and balance bam (9.550), and placed second on vault (9.55) and fourth in bars (9.325).

DeZiel, a Twin Cities Twisters club member while in high school, is ranked third nationally in Division III with a 37.61 average.

Her team will compete in the conference/regional meet on Saturday at Oshkosh.
