The children of Sherburne County in grades kindergarten through 12 are being asked to design a button for the 125th anniversary celebration of the Sherburne County Fair.
The contest will be broken into three age groups (K-4, 5-8 and 9-12).
The deadline for turning them in is March 22. They can be delivered to the offices of the participating schools and to the Star News to give home schooled students and all other students a chance to compete.
The winner of each division will win a $25 gift card, a t-shirt with their design on it and a four-day pass to the fair. The overall winner will be chosen from the three winners and will receive an additional $25 gift certificate.
Designs must incorporate county fair events — past and present. The 125th anniversary theme is highly encouraged.
The designs should include the words Sherburne County Fair — 125th Anniversary 1889-2013. If these words are not included they will be added digitally.
The design must be the student’s own and in the space provided on the form below.
Artists may use pencil, colored pencil, crayons and/or markers.
Only one entry per student is admissable.
All entries will become property of the Sherburne County Fair.
Be sure to include name, phone, address and e-mail to enable contest officials the ability to contact participants.
Each participant will receive a free one-day pass to the fair.
