St. Cloud Cathedral and its seven-foot center Carter Voss stymied the Zimmerman Thunder 68-55 on Thursday evening.
The Crusaders had a 25-point lead before the subs came in, with Voss blocking several shots, discouraging drives, and allowing teammates to pressure the Thunder perimeter vigorously.
Voss, who made three dunks, has a history of knee problems, and sat out close to half the game.
Jake Wilson notched 18 points and 11 rebounds for Zimmerman in his first full game since turning an ankle. He missed two full games and most of another, before returning Tuesday to play part of a game against Foley.
Kristian Bright was next with 11 for the Thunder (4-10 conference, 8-15 overall).
Cathedral improved to 11-3 in the Granite Ridge and 18-6 overall.
The Thunder, who’ve lost nine of their last 10, will play at Mora on Tuesday.
