Basketball: Sting girls beat Harding 46-35
The Spectrum Sting took charge in the second half and defeated St. Paul Harding at home 46-35 on Tuesday evening.
Rachel Stevenson scored 19 points and Shelby Eden 13. Stevenson sank two 3-pointers and was 3-for-3 at the line. Eden made four 3-pointers.
Harding (2-17) led 24-20 at the half but the Sting outscored the Knights 26-11 on the second half with defensive pressure and good rebounding at both ends.
Beca Schultz added 6 points, Noelle Diekman 4, and Rachel Goldsmith and Beca Gleason 2 each. Brynn Bozich held Harding’s leading scorer to just two baskets the second half.
The Sting (12-13) will host Minnesota Transitions on Monday in the regular season finale.
