Mental health rally at State Capitol in March

The Mental Health Legislative Network, a coalition of over 20 statewide organizations, will hold a Mental Health Rally March 12, at noon in the Capitol rotunda. Scheduled speakers include legislators, families and persons living with a mental illness, service providers and mental health advocates. The event, co-chaired by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Minnesota and the Mental Health Association of Minnesota, will focus on improving mental health services for children and adults. An information session will be held before the rally at 10 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 105 University Ave. West, across the street from the Capitol.

Free buses from multiple locations throughout the state will bring people to the event along routes from Winona (Rochester), Willmar (Kerkhoven, Atwater, Litchfield, Cokato), Duluth (Cloquet, Pine City, North Branch, Wyoming), St. Cloud (Baxter, Little Falls), and Marshall to attend the information session and rally.
