ERHS band gets superior rating

Black Elk Jazz Band Ensemble of ERHS received a Superior rating, and the top score, among seven schools in an MSHSL regional jazz band contest hosted by ERHS on Wednesday.
The group, directed by John Rosner, played “Just a Gigolo/Ain’t Got Nobody” with a tenor sax solo by Emily Meyer; “Goodbye My Heart” with alto sax solo by Adam Harbeneh; and “Caravan” with solos by Dan Alfbveby on guitar, Sam Gearou on trombone and Nick Griffiths on trumpet.
