Three Elk River football players, two swimmers and a volleyball player formally committed with college teams on Wednesday.
Bryan Edwards, star linebacker for the Elks, signed with UM-Duluth. He said the Bulldogs see him as a tight end, which he played occasionally for the Elks.
Jordan Meyer, powerful two-way lineman who’s played both end and tackle, signed with Augustana, which also indicated they want him as a tight end.
Connor Hanson, defensive back, committed to Concordia-Moorhead.
Courtney Grunewald, who medaled in three events at the state swimming meet last fall, signed with University of St. Thomas.
Allison Schwab, five-time state swimming entrant along with Grunewald, signed with North Dakota.
