Ryan Killeen and Esteban Teigen were champions as the Spectrum wrestlers placed third in the Tri-Metro Conference tournament on Thursday evening.
St. Croix Lutheran, the host school, won the six-team meet.
Killeen (24-7), a freshman, had a bye and two quick pins to nab the 106-pound title. He pinned SCL’s Tyler Tix in 25 seconds in the finals.
Teigen (16-5), a freshman, had a bye, a 24-second pin, and a 14-3 win over SCL’s Gilbert Fiedler in the 113-pound finals.
The Sting had three runners-up: freshmen Luke Nolden (17-12) at 120, junior Sam Rogers (17-16) at 126, and sophomore Curtis Holst (7-12 at 195.
Placing third were Josiah Roberts (4-18) at 145 and junior Laine Scheuble (5-6) at 285,
Placing fourth were freshman Shan Herrlin (3-6) at 160, junior Joel Galvin (6-23) at 170, junior Joey Chafin (5-17) at 182, and sophomore Elliot Eecker (8-21) at 220.
